There are also some programs that I have found to be just as valuable as the sites I've recommended. Although you can look around and find programs that suit your needs better these are excellent programs, and best of all they are Free. The first program is CCleaner (download). It gets rid of temporary files that can slow your system down. Temp folders are also good hiding places for spyware and viruses. Speaking of spyware and viruses the best free programs available are Avast Antivirus (download) and Spybot Search and Destroy (download). Those two programs are great for active protection.If you are already infected and you need a program to hunt the infection down and eliminated it, try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

For Macs, about the best all-in-one program you will find is Onyx (download). This all around tool is a must have for any Mac. I hope these tools help you as they have helped me.
